Annual Farm to School Regional Gathering
January 31 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Join us for our Annual Farm to School Regional Gathering on Thursday, January 31st, 4-6 p.m. at the Mosier Community School (1204 1st Ave, Mosier, OR 97040). This Regional Gathering is a collaborative project between Gorge Grown Food Network and the Oregon Farm to School and School Garden Network, and is for the Columbia Gorge region.
The purpose of this Regional Gathering is to share resources, provide networking opportunities, and address region-specific challenges and opportunities regarding Farm to School. We will learn about how schools can purchase food more locally, ways farmers of all different sizes and capacities can participate in Farm to School programs, and chat best practices and barriers with folks already engaged in this work.
Note that this Gathering is geared towards the farming and school procurement side of Farm to School: a Gathering for School Garden Educators will be held later in the year, likely in March. You are welcome to attend both Gatherings, or just one.
Please RSVP to this event by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Feel free to invite others you think would benefit from such a Gathering.
