In this 2 part class we will discuss various methods of food preservation including fermenting, drying, root cellaring, canning and pressure canning. Techniques will be broken into two classes, and both classes will include some discussion and some hands on practice. Instructor Woniya Thibeault has been organic farming for ten years, and growing for year round eating without refrigeration for five. She is an instructor in gardening, off the grid living, and various homestead, primitive and earth based life skills.

Note:Students should bring one pint canning jar and lids (regular or wide mouth) for each class
