Do you want to encourage young organic growers? My daughter raised her 4-H meat goat totally organic this year. Only 6 months old, and weighs in at 121 lbs! Beautiful locally born and raised organic. I hate to see this beautiful animal shipped off to a feed lot in California!! Support 4-H, support youth farmers, and get your business or farm advertised! I promise he will taste delicious! We are willing to keep him for you until processing.

Fresh From the Farm has its worm castings available in small amounts or in bulk. We take great care to produce top quality castings. We do not use chemicals on our farm, so our products are natural and safe.. Worm castings are higher in plant available nutrients than other manures, composts or fertilizers. Worm castings improve soil texture and drainage/moisture retention. Worm castings can bring soils damaged by synthetic fertilizer use, back to life. Worm castings can be used to top dress soils, mix in soil, plant in, start seeds, or make worm casting tea.
All worm castings are not the same. The feed stock given to the redworms does make a difference in the end product – The castings! According to research done by specialists at the world-respected Vermiculture/Soil Ecology Department at Ohio State University, and also the Organic Agriculture Centre of Canada, “Vermicompost (and castings) made with hog manure outperformed all other vermicomposts (and castings), as well as commercial fertilizer. “ This is why we have our hog as part of our vermiculture team at Fresh From the farm! This hog helps our redworms produce the best quality castings possible… Completely clean and very effective.
These premium worm castings are available for you! We sell by measured volume. A little of our pure castings goes a LONG ways! ½ gallon (8 cups) $12.50 . 1 gallon (16 cups) $25. Discount for bulk orders. Please contact us for details. Our top quality worm castings are available at our Fresh From the Farm booth at the Thursday Hood River Gorge Grown Famers’ Market and the Saturday Stevenson Farmers’ Market. We will make arrangements for you to get castings if you cannot make it to these markets. Please contact us at waconverse@yahoo.com to ask questions or make arrangements for bulk worm castings.

Fresh From the Farm has its brewed worm casting tea available throughout the growing season. This is an incredible boost for your plants and soil. Because we aerate the tea, and it is freshly brewed, there is a bloom of naturally occurring live beneficial microbes present. The naturally occurring beneficial microbes help guard against damping off, powdery mildew and a host of other maladies as well as repel aphids, spider mites and other pests. Plant available nutrients in worm castings are higher than in any other fertilizer, manure or compost. Worm castings have natural plant growth hormones that will help with successful seed germination and plant growth. Forget the chemicals this year! Go Green with Freshly Brewed Worm Casting Tea. Worm castings in any concentration will not burn plants. Safe around children, pets and ponds. $3.50 for concentrated one gallon (can be diluted to 2 gallons). Bulk amounts and bulk prices available. Great for green house situations, fields, planting, orchards and vineyards too. We have Freshly Brewed Worm Casting Tea available at the Thursday Gorge Grown Farmers’ Market and the Saturday Stevenson Farmers’ Market. Contact us at waconverse@yahoo.com to ask questions or to make arrangements for purchase other than at the Markets.
