We're off and running with the 2008 Who's Your Farmer? guide! This year Who's Your Farmer? will be published as the Gorge's first true guide to buying - and eating - local food.
Who’s Your Farmer? is a free, widely distributed (19,000 copies) directory of small farmers and producers in the 5-county Gorge region. Gorge Grown Food Network is putting together the first such directory for this area, and it will serve as a reference tool for consumers, restaurateurs, and producers, helping them to connect and grow local markets. WYF will also contain informational articles on the emerging local food economy in the Gorge, engaging youth in agriculture, preserving your summer harvest, and more. We’re looking for farmers and producers who grow or produce local food, wine, fiber, and more - and who want to sell it locally. Listings are FREE! Your listing will include your basic business information, what you grow/produce, and your desired customers. The deadline for listing in Who's Your Farmer 2008 is MAY 23, 2008.
